We are currently seeking a Technical Writer to join our team in the New Braunfels, Texas area!

 

Responsibilities include:

?  Develop and maintain various technical documents including user guides, quick reference cards and various training materials

?  Conduct information discovery, including interviews with procedural experts, examining technical documents and interpreting current practice and policies

?  Assist business owners with mapping complex departmental and functional area processes and workflows

?  Develop and perform policy appraisal surveys and assessments and render status reports and improvement recommendations

?  Assist in developing company-wide and departmental documentation management strategies and practices

?  Interpret corporate objectives, established practices and regulatory agency standards for ongoing policy program improvements

?  Participation on special teams as required

 

Required Qualifications:

?  Ability to manage large documents under tight deadlines.

? Ability to multi-task with a high degree of organizational skill and detail orientation.



?  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of supervisors, customers and the general public. 

? Knowledge of ACHC, JCAHO or ISO standards/accreditation preferred

? Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required

?  Knowledge of Visio

?  Knowledge of policy and procedures documentation standards, methods and practices

?  Records management fundamentals and techniques

?  Project management experience

 

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent; and one to three years job-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
