NEOB offers families the opportunity to donate their loved one?s organs and tissues so that others might live.  Working sensitively with the donor families, NEOB staff members coordinate the recovery surgeries, offer organs to waiting patients, transplant the organs to the transport centers where recipients await the gift of life and tissues to processors so that lives can be improved.

? NEOB is headquartered in Newton, Massachusetts with regional offices in MA, VT, CT, RI, NH, and ME. 

 

 

The Position

 

New England Organ Bank is looking for compassionate and medically knowledgeable individuals who can work in a challenging, fast paced and unique call-center environment as a Tissue Clinical Coordinator (TCC).

The TCC handles all incoming referral calls, evaluates potential tissue donors, obtains informed consent for tissue donation and coordinates the logistics of a tissue recovery with a primary focus on extending lives through tissue donation. 

 

 Qualifications

 Bachelor?s degree and one year of relevant experience; or, strong consideration will be given to candidates who have an Associate?s degree and 3+ years of relevant experienceWorking knowledge of medical terminologyExperience in the medical field, health sciences, mental health or counseling with expertise in crisis intervention and/or grief counselingExcellent telephone communication skillsAn ability to communicate with potential donor families in crisis in a sensitive and professional mannerExcellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detailFlexibility and a positive attitudeAbility to work 12 hour shifts
