Description

Incumbent will plan and manage company-wide events and trade shows, executive meetings, conferences, special events, incentive programs, and campaigns, ranging in size of 50- 500 attendees. Specific responsibilities: site inspections; RFI/RFP process; proposals and venue selections; room blocks, meeting space and audio- visual requirements; contract negotiations; speaker engagements; food and beverage management; event budgets and planning meetings; travel and ground transportation and associated manifests; entertainment appropriate to event; booth management; trade show specifications; vendor relations; stage design as required; online attendee registrations and reports; stage design and d?cor to support event theme; pre-event conference meetings, on-site production schedules, and management on-site operations staff.


Qualifications

5 plus yrs of professional meeting, event, and trade show planning. Significant experience in working with hotel and conference industry, travel and tourism. Degree or comparable experience in event planning, tourism and /or incentive management. CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) credential not required, but a plus. Strong written and oral communications, ability to work well with numbers and manage budgets; willingness to travel for site inspections and program execution; experience in negotiating contracts, hotel management, and vendor relations.

 

Travel:  Approximately 30%
