Observes cardiac monitors and notifies staff of any changes in dysrhythmias. Provides support for the nursing station which includes answering telephones, answering the patient call lights, maintaining charts, transcribing physicians? orders, and keeping adequate supplies of forms and general supplies. Greets physicians, families, and visitors.
Experience as a monitor tech and/or in telemetry monitoring required. Must have knowledge of medical terminology and experience using a computer. One (1) year hospital unit secretary experience preferred.
