COMPENSATION:

Additionally, Superior Vision Services offers a matching 401(k) plan.  This position also provides for a monthly car allowance and home office support.

 

JOB SUMMARY: 

Responsible for developing business relationships with employers, government and other entities leading to successful, long-term clients utilizing the company's products and services. This position will execute profitable, high performing and high quality sales campaigns.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 The successful candidate will be expected to generate sales leads, respond to RFP?s, make sales presentations, close sales, and facilitate the enrollment process of sold clients. Prospect and cultivate new business relationships with potential new organizations to meet sales goals, profitability levels and other key business indicators.  Candidates will be expected to maintain current distribution systems and develop and research business opportunities with consultants and brokers in this territory.  Develop on-going productive working relationships with human resources and benefits consulting firms which are frequently engaged by Fortune 1,000 prospects. Builds horizontal and vertical relationships with key contacts.The successful candidate must view sales from an entrepreneurial perspective and be a self-starter who thrives on the challenges of working independently to exceed sales expectations. The territory of the incumbent will include the following states: Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio, Iowa, and Wisconsin.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience & Education: Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent work experienceA minimum of 4 years relevant field sales experienceA proven record of exceptional sales performance in medical, vision care, dental, HMO, or PPO products.Thorough knowledge of the insurance/managed care industry Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients, brokers and home office associatesHighly effective presentation skills with ability to deliver presentations to all levels in organizationsStrong sales, persuasive, and negotiations skills to influence buying decisions.High degree of initiative and persistence Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent organizational and planning skills Software and Internet knowledge and skillsProficiency with Windows software, Excel, Microsoft Word, Power Point and IGoldmine.Understanding of health care underwriting and rating principles.A current Life and Health insurance license in the applicable states.Provides communication to internal partners and departments on industry and client trends and issues.
