West Coast Director/Vice President, Strategic Education/Business Development For Global Continuing Medical Education (CME) Organization Headquartered in NYC

JOB TITLE: Director/Vice President, Strategic Education/Business Development

REPORTS TO: CEO

JOB PURPOSE: Identify opportunities for grant support, as well as develop and manage the execution of proposals for CME activities for West Coast organizations. Organizations may include: Pharmaceutical, Biotech and Medical Device manufacturers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
? Identify prospective partners and build relationships with appropriate contacts with the select organizations.
? Identify areas of educational need among health care professionals and validate needs assessments with select partners or team members as needed.
? Develop strategic presentations outlining these educational needs and strategic solutions for meeting the needs of prospective clients or partners.
? Participate in new business pitches and proposal development as needed by the Strategic Education staff.
? Utilize collaborative relationships to enhance educational offerings.
? Write comprehensive grant requests and submit them to potential commercial supporters.
? Build relationships with key medical associations and thought leaders in select therapeutic area.


QUALIFICATIONS
Experience, Competencies and Education

Incumbent must have a college degree (advanced degree in science or education preferred) with a minimum of 5 years medical education experience at the Account Manager level or above.

Must be an energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual who possesses high ethical standards.

A strategic visionary with solid technical and analytical skills, who uses sound judgment when making decisions, and has excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).

He or she must be able to engage and communicate with individuals at all levels of an organization.

The incumbent must present a professional image at all times and function as a consultant to our clients and collaborate with educational partners.

He or she must be articulate and knowledgeable about various therapeutic areas and CME guidelines.

Someone who is team oriented and is able to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously is a must.

Project management and leadership skills are required.
