KPS is currently looking for a Area Pharmacy Director to cover Southern California (Yorba Linda and Monrovia). Three to Five years experience in a long-term care pharmacy with management experience in a multi-site pharmacy setting required. Prefer candidate with BS or PharmD and current pharmacy license. Some travel required. Successful candidate must reside in Southern, CA.


Responsibilities include:

Directs and guides the operations of 2 long-term care pharmacies in Southern California. Oversees the financial and quality performance of the pharmacies.


Reviews quality programs and customer survey indicators and recommends and/or initiates improvement processes.

Hires, trains and develops managers, pharmacists and other staff.

Ensures pharmacy compliance with state and federal laws and KPS policies and procedures.

Assists in the development and monitoring of operating and capital expense budgets.

Monitors and implements controls for staffing levels, overtime, and use of contract labor within each pharmacy.

Assists the Marketing Dept. in the development and implementation of strategies and goals for meeting business growth targets. Develops pricing for specific accounts.

Visits nursing centers to meet with Administrators, Directors of Nursing, etc. for marketing and customer service issues.

Assists Regional Finance Manager in overseeing billing, accounts receivable and collections issues.

Locates space, approves design and participates in the start-up or relocation of new pharmacy spaces.

Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company?s Code of Business Conduct, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.
