CLINICAL STAFF PHARMACIST - (MR138161)

Clinical Staff Pharmacist-Full time days/eves & every other Saturday
Pharmacy Distribution Center
Tewksbury MA

This position is full time 40 hours per week primarily 9a-5:30p shifts during the week with occasional evenings and also includes working every other Saturday rotations of 7a-3:30p and Noon-8:30p.

This clinical staff pharmacist evaluates and interprets orders; compounds; and dispenses medications according to written orders/prescriptions issued by an authorized prescriber. The clinical staff pharmacist will also
oIdentify, prevent, assess, and resolve medication-related problems to ensure a safe and optimal patient outcome.
oPromote, through criteria based protocols, clinically rational drug therapy and sound pharmaceutical care.

Education/Experience:
oB.S. or Pharm.D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy and a current pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy
oExperience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems required

Knowledge/Skills:
oThorough knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations governing pharmacy services. Proficient in the use and application of new medications and technology
oEffective verbal and written communication skills are required
oAbility to effectively participate on an interdisciplinary team or committee
oKnowledge of pathophysiology, interpretation of diagnostic criteria, pharmacokinetics and pharmacotherapeutics
oProblem solving ability and analytical thinking preferred
