The Pharmacy Manager opening is in our Pharmacy Department at Exempla Lutheran Medical Center Campus. The Pharmacy Department provides pharmaceutical services from six locations on the campus. The Central Pharmacy is located in the south wing basement of the hospital and includes an IV room, compounding area, administrative and support staff offices, and serves as the warehouse for the five fixed pharmacy satellites. These satellites include: ED/OR Satellite located in the Emergency Department; Oncology Satellite located on the 6 th floor; Critical Care Satellite located on the 4 th floor, Cardiac Care Satellite on the 3 rd floor; and the West Pines Satellite located in the Spruce building.

The Pharmacy's core function is to ensure safe, appropriate and cost-effective procurement and use of pharmaceutical products. Our core focus is placed on: Drug Distribution (turnaround time, proper acquisition, storage, and distribution); Financial (efficient and cost-effective); Clinical (safe and appropriate use). Your Position

To fulfill this important role as Pharmacy Manager in the Pharmacy Department, you'll coordinate, develop, maintain, and provide pharmacy services to patients throughout the integrated delivery network organization. As a Pharmacy Manager, you'll assist the Pharmacy Director in directing, planning and coordinating the activities, functions and operations of Pharmacy Services. You'll manage the daily pharmacy operations; supervise pharmacists and technicians, and coordinate the provision of pharmacy services.

As Pharmacy Manager, you'll ensure safe, appropriate, cost effective medication therapies for patients, provide medication related clinical consultation and clarification to other health professionals, and develop and participate in unit-based activities designed to measure and improve the medication use process. You'll deliver education and training to Pharmacy Department personnel as well as other health professionals to improve our overall objective to deliver the safest and best possible healthcare for our patients. Our Requirements

* Minimum Education : Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy or

* Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy

* Minimum : Current Colorado Pharmacy licensure
* Preferred : Clinical pharmacy residency and management/supervisory experience
* Strong and effective communication skills
