Clinical Programs Manager-Pharmacy

They are currently in strong growth mode and have asked us to assist them in finding a Clinical Programs Manager for on-site service of a major health plan.

 

As a Clinical Programs Manager, you will be responsible for clinical pharmacy support to a large health plan. Job duties include:

 

1.  Oversee development and implementation of clinical programs including:

?  Clinical consulting and clinical education programs

?  Quality improvement involving drug therapy

?  Disease and demand management programs

?  Research applications and opportunities beneficial to the plan

2.  Coordinate and lead clinical pharmacy programs for the client

?  Develop and maintain the Clinical portions of internal and external client planning documents.

3.  Coordinate formula management services for the client including:

?  Plan the P&T agenda and client recommendations in conjunction with the client and other company personnel.

?  Maintain formulary information in all provider and member materials and communications.

?  Oversee maintenance and distribution of formulary publications and communications.

4.  Partner with other team and other departmental personnel to provide information, analysis and pharmacy benefit management recommendations for the client and key employer groups.

5.  Establish a relationship with the client?s clinical stakeholders.  This includes representing company on the client?s internal committees addressing medical and clinical pharmacy related issues

6.  Address questions or issues that arise as they relate to drug therapy or the client?s formulary.

7.  Coordinate efforts with Manufacturer Relations when developing programs and relationships with pharmaceutical companies.

They are looking for the best of the best! The ideal candidate for this position will have the following requirements:

?  Pharm D. or Masters Degree and post graduate training, advanced training or clinical certification program and minimum of 3 years of clinical experience; or equivalent training, education and/or experience.

? Current pharmacist license. Eligible for licensure as pharmacist in Florida. 

? Previous managed care or clinical pharmacy experience.
