Our client, Gifford Medical Center located in North Central Vermont with close proximity to Burlington is looking for a Director of Pharmacy. Gifford Medical Center is a full service 50 bed community based hospital along with a 20 bed nursing home. The Director of Pharmacy plans, directs, coordinates, and controls overall comprehensive inpatient, outpatient pharmacy services and several clinics. As Director of Pharmacy, you will supervise two full-time pharmacists and two technicians. This is a non-dispensing complete administrative position offering a Monday to Friday Schedule. Traditional responsibilities including budgetary management, JCAHO preparation, appropriate committee participation, and policy development. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of hospital experience including knowledge of Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and Quality Improvement Process experiences. Current State of Vermont licensure is not required. Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a B.S. pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree. The Pharmacy Manager plans, directs, coordinates, organizes and controls overall comprehensive inpatient, outpatient pharmacy services and several Gifford Medical Center clinics.
