  Position:  Human Resources Generalist

Position Summary:This role provides HR generalist partnership to several business units primarily in Northbrook but also for other business units through out the US.This HR generalist creates and recommends people solutions that positively affect selection and retention of a high performance team and enhance level of partnership with line management. 

 

Qualifications:PHR/SPHR certification preferred. Demonstrated HR technical knowledge including employment law.Demonstrated experience and ability in managing employee relations issues through investigation to resolution with assigned business.Thorough working knowledge of employment law, specifically in the areas of employee performance/relations, FMLA and ADA. Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively, to think through employee issues and move to resolution tactfully and in a timely manner. Candidate must have the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees individually, as well as the ability to present information to large groups of employees. Excellent written, verbal, and strong interpersonal skills are required that include a strict attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality.Must be able to adapt to a quickly changing environment. Technical knowledge and comfort level of MS Word and Excel and Internet/Intranet required. Experience using an automated HRIS system strongly preferred. Ability to maintain a flexible schedule required. Must be able to communicate and influence effectively with all levels.Experience in a fast paced rapidly changing environment highly preferred. Light travel will be required. Large site and matrix reporting experience preferred.

 

Education: Bachelor?s degree in business or related field required; PHR or SPHR preferred. 

 

Experience:3 + years progressive HR generalist experience at an exempt level.
