Mechanical Engineering Technician

? Develop and maintain engineering documentation system of both electronic and hard copy drawings.
? Works closely with engineers and Project Managers during design phase of projects to determine CAD needs and guidelines for the project. Provides assistance to set-up CAD files.
? Makes corrections and produces final documents for engineers review. Works with engineers to resolve document coordination.
? Responsible for overseeing redline changes on drawings and specifications supplied by the engineers or Project Managers.
? Prepare electronic layouts, charts, detailed scale drawings, and material and equipment requirements from sketches, specifications, and standard layouts provided by vendors and/or departmental contacts; review and manipulate electronic files received from vendors and departmental contacts.
? Lead small to medium projects as required by department needs.


Education or Equivalent:

? Technical associate / two year degree or equivalent experience.

Experience or Equivalent:

? Strong technical knowledge of pharmaceutical and facility related equipment (tablet compression, fluid bed drying, granulating equipment, blending equipment, oven dryers, HVAC and compressed air systems)
? Knowledge of cGMP, FDA and Industry Guidelines and Regulations required;

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:

? Minimum 5 years of design and documentation experience;
? Knowledgeable of MS Office suite including MS Project; Highly proficient in AutoCad

? Exhibit positive attitude towards adherence to company policies and procedures.
? Demonstrate creativity and willingness to attempt new approaches.
