Oncology Pharmacist

Secord & Associates, Inc. is a premiere recruiting firm that specializes in Healthcare positions throughout the Northeast.  We are currently seeking an Oncology Pharmacist for a newly created position at a Comprehensive Cancer Center on the South Shore of Massachusetts. 

 

The Organization:

Jordan Hospital is a 150-Bed, non-profit acute care community Hospital located in historic Plymouth, Massachusetts. This coastal community is 45 miles south of Boston and 5 miles from the Cape Cod Canal.

 

The Cancer Center:

The Jordan Hospital Cancer Center offers comprehensive care and provides both chemotherapy and radiation therapy in a state-of-the-art newly constructed facility. 

 

Top notch medical care is provided by Board Certified Oncologists, Oncology Certified Nurses and physicists, therapists, pharmacists, dieticians, and social workers.

 

The Cancer Center is affiliated with Massachusetts General Hospital and is accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer.  Patients have access to national clinical trials.

 

Profile:

The Oncology Pharmacist assumes overall responsibility for comprehensive drug-related needs of the patients, which includes therapy, response to therapy and reimbursement to assure cost effective patient centered care.  Some responsibilities include:

? Reviewing pharmacy processes.

? Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.

? Participating in patient meetings.

 

Qualification Criteria:

? Graduated from an accredited School of Pharmacy.

? Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy.

? Must have the ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nursing, lab, social services, finance and pharmacy administration.

? Strong patient centered focus.

? The ability to translate the scientific advancements from evidence based medicine into daily practice.

? The ability to balance therapeutics with reimbursement.

? Eligibility for Licensure in the State of Massachusetts.
