JOB DETAILS: PayGrade: 456, Scheduled hours per week: 40.00, Begin and end Times: ROTATING; Days of work: rotating
SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for dispensing and compounding medication, counseling patients on medication and health subjects; interpreting prescriptions, managing patient drug therapy for complications, and performing drug utilization. He/She collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other health-care practitioners to provide safe, high quality, and cost-effective drug therapy.
REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
BS or Pharmacy degree (5-6 yrs, depending on state where graduated). Certification in Pharmaceutical Care and Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Ohio. Minimum 1 year pharmacy internship and a 2 year residency or equivalent work experience.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
Pharmacology/Therapeutics for all age groups. Aseptic Technique and drug literature review.
KIND and LENGTH of EXPERIENCE
Previous hospital pharmacy experience.
