McKesson Automation is seeking a motivated individual to manage and maintain all on-site medication packaging and bar-coding operations related to our automated robotic drug dispensing system installed within the West Virginia University Hospital inpatient Pharmacy located in Morgantown, WV.Position Description

POSTION SUMMARY:
The PakPlus-Rx Technician is responsible for packaging all unit dose medications required for ROBOT-Rx daily dispensing. The PakPlus-Rx Technician will prepare and maintain the packager equipment for daily use, perform general equipment troubleshooting, maintain ROBOT-Rx online and offline inventories, and identify any customer concerns to the Supervisor of the PakPlus-Rx Program.

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:
* Perform all unit dose medication packaging according to ROBOT-Rx Daily Repackaging reports.
* Maintain all ROBOT-Rx online and offline inventories by utilizing appropriate reporting.
* Perform daily maintenance and necessary routine adjustments on the packager equipment.
* Assist pharmacy buyer with reordering required medication for packaging.
* Maintain and order appropriate packaging supplies to support the packaging process.
* Distribute Daily Performance Summary and Packaging Log Summary to PakPlus-Rx Supervisor on a daily basis.
* Provide necessary on-site information to Supervisor on Robot-Rx performance and other key issues.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Training:
High school or equivalent educational level, post high school education preferred.
* Six months pharmacy technician experience (hospital setting preferred) or completion of an external technician training program required.
* Must be nationally certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board within two years of date of hire.

Business Experience:
* Previous experience in hospital pharmacy or healthcare industry preferred.

Specialized Knowledge/Skills:
* Working knowledge of computer hardware, PC Windows.
* Working knowledge of mechanical packaging equipment.
* Good organizational skills, accurate, reliable and efficient.Certifications
