Pharmacy Rebate Specialist

We are currently seeking a Pharmacy Rebate Specialist, a challenging and key position requiring and utilizing many skills, including those of paymaster, contract negotiator and market analyst. The Specialist will be responsible for following up timely payment, reconciling payment to invoice, collecting market share data, maintaining a manufacturer rebate contract database, and reviewing key contract terms and analyzing them in relation to the company?s business objectives.

 

Specific responsibilities include:

?  Assist in analysis and negotiation of rebate contracts and enter new contracts, updates, renewals and amendments into the rebate administration system

?  Provide product utilization data to manufacturers for rebate contract negotiations. Generate quarterly invoices, market share reports, and claim detail files, and follow up and reconcile payment invoices to assure timely rebate payment

?  Work with Pharmacy Data Analyst to deliver an economic and business case assessment of contract offerings, based on current and projected drug formulary changes

?  Gather current national drug market share data and assist in maintaining a pricing database

 

Qualified candidates will possess 2 - 4 years of business administration experience, including database maintenance.  Proven experience and success in contracting is a necessity. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field is preferred. A demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is a must.  Preference will be given to those with pharmacy experience.
