Pharmacy Tech, FT eves

Overview : Responsible for working with the pharmacist in processing medication orders. Performs routine duties in packaging, distribution amd record keeping of pharmaceutical supplies. Assists in preparing intravenous medications, total parenteral nutrition products and chemotherapeutic agents.

Qualifications :

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. 1 year hospital pharmacy technician experience preferred
3. Arizona License and certification as pharmacy tech
4. Basic clerical experience with typing skills of 40wpm preferred
5. Knowledge of math and medication terminology
6. Knowledge of computer software, particularly pharmacy system software and Pyxis
7. Training in compounding intravenous medications and sterile products preparation preferred
8. Effective written and verbal communication skills
9. Effective interpersonal skills
10. Effective telephone skills and courtesy
11. Effective organizational and problem solving skills
