Pharmacy Technician Education Coordinator
Job Purpose:
Offers distance education programs for pharmacy technicians by identifying potential markets; developing instructional strategies, courses, and information delivery systems; managing financial requirements; evaluating results; instructor training
Duties:
* Pharmacy Technician, preferably with experience in sterile products and/or compounding
* Accomplishes distance education human resource strategies by determining accountabilities; communicating and enforcing values, policies, and procedures; implementing recruitment, selection, orientation, training, coaching, counseling, disciplinary, and communication programs; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; reviewing compensation strategies.
* Directs distance education organizational strategies by contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic educational thinking, direction, plans, and offerings.
* Directs distance education operational strategies by preparing critical measurements; implementing production, productivity, quality, and student-service strategies; designing operating systems; resolving problems; implementing change.
* Implements distance education financial strategies by anticipating and budgeting requirements; measuring and analyzing results, variances, and trends; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances; preparing grants.
* Identifies subject demand by examining current educational offerings; analyzing course and degree enrollments; studying student demographics; exploring distance education option with other educational institutions; conducting surveys; forecasting demand; conferring with faculty.
* Develops distance education programs by developing, directing, and enforcing instructional design strategies; contracting with and coaching faculty; reviewing course materials; developing information delivery technology, including live, interactive, and asynchronous classes, and printed materials; researching new technology.
* Markets distance education programs by establishing partnerships; preparing catalogue descriptions; designing special advertising and promotions; coordinating with other educational institutions; making presentations.
* Delivers distance education programs by establishing admissions, registration, financial aid, and counseling services, policies, and procedures; planning, organizing, scheduling, and evaluating course delivery; studying student evaluations.
* Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing distance education data and trends.
* Maintains professional and technical knowledge by tracking trends in self-instruction, interactive television, and Internet programs; attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
* Enhances distance education and college reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
