We are currently seeking a Receiving Supervisor for Materials Department
Position Summary
This position is responsible for supervising areas of warehouse, inventory, and purchasing to include responsibility for receiving and replenishment, put-a-way to pharmacy, warehouse, adjustments, cycle counts, stock rotation, inventory management, etc. The position is also responsible for ensuring inventory levels appropriate to service needs of pharmacy; developing, monitoring, and maintaining quality service within areas of responsibility as well as developing, training, prioritizing/setting direction, monitoring, addressing workflow issues as appropriate to ensure efficient flow of work and achievement of individual and team objectives with regards to production and quality.
Qualifications:
Candidate must have knowledge ofreceiving methods and procedures and inventory. Experience in inventories techniques (planning aggregate inventories, detailed control of specific items, Pareto analysis, performance measures, counting procedures, etc.) Knowledge of SAP software systems strongly preferred. Experience with various supplier managed inventories protocols. Ability to comprehend, explain, and monitor objectives and policies for inventory management (inventory investment, ROI, shelf line, lead time factor, and types of inventory). Proven ability to oversee people and process to achieve objectives. Ability to build strong business relationships with other functional areas to best support mutual objectives. Analysis and problem-solving skills to ensure proper operation of inventory processes; sound decision-making skills. Interpersonal, conflict management, and negotiation skills are also required, as well as a strong human relations skill to supervise and develop assigned employees effectively. Good organization skills, analytical techniques and proven computer skills for analysis/reporting in software packages such as Excel, Access, Visio, and others.
Knowledge of pharmacy terminology desired.
Flexible, dependable, and able to adapt to change.
Ability to work extended hours as necessary.
Experience:
Five or more years of management experience in receiving or warehouse environment, preferably in a medical or pharmaceutical environment, including experience in receiving, inventory control, materials management or procurement with knowledge of various computer systems and processes.
Experience with physical inventory reconciliation and reporting. Experience with physical inventory systems used to described and analyze inventory decisions (Forecasting, order point systems, BOM structures and information systems)
Education:
Bachelors degree preferred; combination of degree and experience will be considered.
