Title:  Reporting Analyst

Position Summary:

Responsible for standard and ad hoc pharmaceutical claims reporting and analysis for Caremark clients. Duties to include any and/or all of the following:

? Acquire and maintain knowledge of the healthcare marketplace, the PBM industry, the Caremark data warehouse(s), and Caremark programs and services.

? Use data mining tools to pull and manipulate large amounts of pharmacy claims data.

? Understand the needs of assigned clients and work with internal and external partners to produce accurate and timely ad hoc and standard reports.

? Proactively identify, support and coordinate report automation opportunities.

? Proactively identify, recommend and communicate innovative reporting opportunities.

? Collaborate with other reporting personnel and supervisors to share best practices and reporting tips.

? Understand and monitor industry trends to identify healthcare standards and benchmarks.

? Train account management and clients on reporting tools.

? Support departmental and corporate initiatives.

? Assist with standard plan design, savings, disruption and other types of analyses.

? Act as a peer reviewer for standard and ad hoc reports and other types of analyses.

 

Qualification:Ability to analyze data.Ability to solve problems.Ability to identify efficiencies and think outside the box.Excellent verbal/written communications skills.Excellent interpersonal skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with moving deadlines.Ability to work independently and in a teamwork environment.Ability to work with remote management.College-level mathematics with working knowledge of algebra and statistics.Creativity.Motivated self-starter.Serves as resource for Reporting Specialists.Ability to work under pressure.Office-based with minimal (< 5%) travel.

 

Education:2-year or 4-year college degree with background in algebra and statistics.

 

Experience:

Required:More than 2 consecutive years of experience as a Reporting Specialist with annual performance ratings of ?Fully-Meets? or higher.Proven proficiency in bi/Query, RxNavigator, and other data mining tools.At least 3-years of experience working with large databases, running standard reports, creating ad hoc reports, analyzing data and presenting technical information.Excellent communication skills.Proven track record of working both independently and as part of a team.Proven proficiency in Excel, Access, and PowerPoint and working knowledge of SAS.

Preferred:

? Experience working as a pharmacy technician.
