We seek a degreed Pharmacist to obtain, evaluate and communicate pertinent clinical information to internal and external customers. This includes research and publication.

Specific accountabilities:
Serve as subject matter expert for oncology and biopharmaceutical areas of the formulary and Specialty program:
maintaining therapy area-specific drug information and expertise
obtaining product information and preparing new drug monographs
initiating and/or participating in updating relevant Clinical Threshold Lists (CTLs)
participating in yearly update of relevant drug category/class reviews
answering unresolved drug information issues raised by the Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) Committee or other external and internal customers
communicating clinical information to internal and external customers as appropriate
Evaluate and summarize evidence based data obtained from manufacturers, peer reviewed journals, national guidelines and other reputable sources.
Develop and conduct clinical and/or pharmacoeconomic analyses on available data.
Provide back up to other Senior Clinical Pharmacists in their area of expertise.
Support other departments in a cross-functional manner when clinical information in area of expertise is needed. Participate in internal committees and assist with projects as needed:
Assist in designing and evaluating Utilization Management criteria for selected oncology and biopharmaceutical drugs.
Attend all clinical presentations by pharmaceutical manufacturers in areas of expertise. Maintain relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers in order to obtain clinical and pharmacoeconomic information including the AMCP Format Dossier.
Participate as a member in Clinical Review Committee (CRC). Present area(s) of expertise to the committee and defend clinical position based on available evidence.
Attend one conference per year in area of expertise in order to expand/maintain knowledge. Share information from these conferences with team.
Take on additional responsibilities as directed by manager.
Maintain involvement in organizations which support care of the cancer patients and excellence in oncology pharmacy practice.

Qualifications:
Pharm.D. or Masters degree and post-graduate training
Oncology clinical pharmacy practice; ideal
Current U.S. Pharmacist license
Eligible for licensure as pharmacist in the state of Minnesota
Previous managed care; preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self directed and independent
Able to travel; some overnight travel is expected
