Staff Pharmacist ** $40.50/hr ** Family Oriented, High Tech Facility Where Possibilities Are Endless

Staff Pharmacist will ensure efficient and effective clinical and distributive pharmacy operations as well as demonstrate positive and professional communications with health care staff and patients.

Responsibilities:
> review patient profiles; ensure accuracy, appropriateness and proper dosage of medication orders in a timely manner
> communicate/consult with and educate patients, health care professionals, pharmacists, technicians
> ensure proper drug utilization by complying with drug use criteria, clinical pathways and formulary decisions
> document clinical interventions (adverse drug reactions, drug interactions, drug use evaluation)
> conduct monthly nursing unit inspections of medication storage areas
> participate in continuing education and in-service programs
> clarify and resolve problems with medication orders
> attend/provide coverage for CPR emergencies
> perform and document daily review activities
> direct Technicians and coordinate workflow


Requirements:
> current Illinois license in good standing
> Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy; PharmD preferred
> active member of state, local, or national professional organizations
> exhibit thorough knowledge of all age specific medication therapies; pediatric experience preferred
> ability to integrate clinical services, distributive services, education, and research activities
> flexibility to work rotating shifts (mostly days with some weekends)
> outstanding communication rapport and team spirit
