Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP)

Hours:

35 hours/week.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

Secure a complete health history, including gynecology, contraceptive, medical, surgical, sexual, family health, and psychosocial; and record findings accurately and succinctly.
Perform physical examinations with special emphasis on the reproductive system, including breast examination, pelvic examination, cancer screening tests, diagnosis of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and other types of more specialized procedures as may be indicated by medical policy.

3.5-4 patient encounters per hour.
Participate in accomplishing customer-focused goals.
Provide referrals and participates in follow-up.
Perform, orders, and interprets diagnostic studies as indicated and permitted by affiliate medical protocols.
Consult with Medical Director, Vice President, Medical Services, and Director of Medical Services to ensure compliance with standards and guidelines.
Provide relevant health instruction to include family planning, nutrition, sexual counseling, and principles of health promotion and maintenance.

 

Education:

Valid and current Florida ARNP Licensure

Valid and current Florida Dispensing License

Current CPR Certification

 

Experience:

Two to three years experience in women?s health care is preferred

Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and Saturdays

Maintain a professional commitment in representing the mission and goals of Planned Parenthood

Must be an advocate for and demonstrate understanding and personal commitment to reproductive rights and goals.  Knowledge of diverse groups, experience working with multicultural workforce and sensitivity and appreciation to cultural difference is required of all applicants.Contact:
