Case Manager I - (CF11463)

Centene Corporation provides multi-line managed care programs and related services to individuals receiving benefits in Medicaid, including Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and the State Children's Health Insurance (SCHIP). Centene operates health plans in seven states. In addition, the Centene contracts with other healthcare organizations to provide specialty services including behavioral health, disease management, nurse triage and treatment compliance.

Bridgeway Health Care Case Managers perform duties to review all inpatient admissions to assure appropriate level of care, assists with developing plans of care and discharge plans, monitors all clinical activities, makes recommendations for alternative levels of care, identifies cost-effective protocols, and develops guidelines for care. Bridgeway provides services to low income older persons and people with disabilities through the ALTCS Program in Maricopa and Yuma/LaPaz counties.

At least 3 years recent clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting particularly in medical/surgical, pediatrics, obstetrics or home health. One year of manager care experience required. Prefer experience in HMO setting.

Thorough knowledge of a specialized or technical field such as clinical nursing knowledge in medical/surgery, obstetrics, or pediatrics, plus the application of basic managed care theory. Ability to use computer skills for the management of medical information and reporting; good communication skills; pleasant, professional interpersonal skills; problem-solving orientation and skills; good analytical and mathematical skills, strong team player; self-starter, initiate assignments with minimal supervision

Licenses/Certifications: RN, LPN or LVN required. Current AZ nursing license and driver's license. UM certification preferred.
