Clinical Director

Provides support and resources to the clinical staff to ensure that quality patient care is delivered and positive patient outcomes are experienced.
Participate in patient care activities and adheres to requirements of RN position description when providing direct patient care.  Ensures that the Center achieves quality patient care by utilizing ongoing performance enhancement, safety and infection control evaluation methods such as review of the medical record, analysis of medication errors and patient injuries and review of infection control responses from physicians and patient satisfaction questionnaires.  Maintains active professional relationships with doctors, staff and patients.  Is able to delegate and supervise, hire, orient, develop, train, coach, evaluate and terminate nurses.  Performs appraisals and ensures that resources and education are provided to the Team leaders. Complies with state laws and ensures center is maintained in safe condition. Qualifications: Knowlege and experience in hospital, operating room or ambulatory surgery center nursing care.  Effective communication skills.  Ability set own schedule and manage own time.  Ability to effectively manage the activities and personnel of nursing. Knowledge of current matters relating to healthcare mgmt including performance enhancement fundamentals and activities.  Ability to utilize resources in an organized matter.  Effective positive interpersonal and customer relation skills vis telephone and face to face. Education/experience: Education credentials as RN and at least 5 yrs of clinical exp, two of which were in nursing admin/OR mgmt within last 5 yrs.  Exp as RN in at least on of the following areas:recovery room (PACU), post surgical, medical surgical, ER, ICU or OR.  Current RN license is required.  CUrrent CPR and ACLS certification required.  A BS in Nursing preferred.   License/certification: RN license in state
