Clinical Nurse Leader - Radiology
This first shift Monday - Friday, leadership position will oversee all nursing aspects of radiology and mammography in addition to oversight of the technical areas of Interventional Radiology and Nuclear Medicine.
Provides clinical leadership to department staff under the direction of the Department Director that contributes toward ensuring that patient care needs are met in a safe, effective and efficient manner. The clinical leader assists the leadership of the department, division and organization in maximizing the utilization of human, financial and material resources while adhering to ANA Standards of Clinical Nursing Practice, ANA Scope and Standards for Nurse Administrators, ANA Code of Ethics, Nursing Specialty Standards of Practice, Regulatory Agency (JCAHO, MIOSHA, CMS, State Fire Marshall etc.) requirements, BMC established pathways/protocols and BHA/BMC Policies and Procedures. Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan. Two to Three years of professional nursing experience in acute care nursing required, with preference for experience within clinical specialty area of department. Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Admin. required. Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with the wide range of individuals/departments/task forces/teams one must work with to achieve positive outcomes. Self directed in own development to include current nursing clinical knowledge and technical skills, professional nursing and management principles. Computer proficiency for use of clinical and management software. Analytical and critical thinking skills necessary to develop and implement effective actions and solutions to complex department operational and clinical issues and to participate in performance improvement activities of the department/division/organization.
