Job Description:

Job Reposted July 7, 2006.  Pediatric PACU. Monday-Friday plus on call weeknights & weekends.  Prefer 1 year of pediatric hospital experience.  Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using nursing interventions in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.
Essential duties include: patient documentation; direct patient care/assessment; medication administration; discharge planning, community resource referral and education.
Actively participates in the quality improvement process. Involved in learning and self-improvement.

Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients/customers.
Initiates and maintains positive relationships with co-workers.
Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment.
Displays commitment to the mission of the hospital and its values

 

Job Requirements:

Thorough knowledge of nursing process and practice.
Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies (ie. Stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices.
Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients.

 

Education Requirements:



Bachelor degree in Nursing from accredited program or Staff Nurse who has demonstrated the ability to assume responsibility of the Clinical Nurse role.

 

License/Certification Requirements:

Registered Nurse with current license to practice in the State of Ohio
