Position Summary: Serves as a consultant, educator, and researcher. Establishes goals and priorities in accordance with patient and staff needs and organizational objectives. Gives direct patient care to selected patients and families. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care. Evaluates and revises interventions. Provides consultant of nursing and other disciplines. Guides, teaches and supports nursing personnel in the development and implementation of care plans. Implements teaching programs for patients, families, and others based on needs. Utilizes current research findings to support and improve nursing practice. Participates in studies.

Position Qualifications: Master's degree in Clinical Nurse Specialist or related field. Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration required. Three to five years of experience preferred. *For Clinical Specialist functioning in the Expanded Role a Massachusetts license as a Clinical Specialist in the Expanded Role is required. For Clinical Specialist prescribing medication a Massachusetts License as a Clinical Specialist I the prescribing role is required.

Masters degree required. NICU experience required.
