JOB TITLE:  TEMPORARY CLINICAL SERVICE MANAGER 

 

 

SUMMARY: The position acts as a liaison for USNC/Fastaff to hospital clients for coordination of nurse travels and job assignments.  This job includes determining professional attributes for specific assignments, assisting the corporate office clients during all stages of initial contact, fulfillment and renewal contact placing candidate nurses, and coordination of client orders for contracting and marketing.  Clinical Service Managers must also maintain requirements for documentation of nurse assignments by client hospitals in database and/or spreadsheet.  Approve nurses for travel to assignment after ensuring all professional and medical requirements are current and received.  Potential to become permanent employee.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Operations/Nursing Ensure individual registered nurse candidates meet professional and medical requirements for specific assignmentAct as liaison for USNC/Fastaff to client hospitals, coordinate staffing needs of client hospital with nurse specialties and transmit profile accordinglyConfirm that all nurse placement orders are in writing, signed accurately and timely.  Validate current client openings and placement status and ensure that recruiting has been notifiedWork with internal legal counsel on all legal correspondence and signature authorization for contractsWork with recruiting Department to facilitate the placement  of highly qualified professional healthcare workers at our clientsEffectively research, acquire and support clients accounts and notify contract relations prior to contract expiration to begin renewal process as neededMay assist travel nurses with questions about assignment, client hospital, special needs or employment issuesEnter nurse assignment information into PeopleSoft and keeping them accurate current and accurateObtain nurse orders by collaborating with account managers and facilities during conference callsPull reports from PeopleSoft on an ongoing basis to facilitate filing ordersDocument and provide nurses with pertinent information on assigned facility area, duties, etc. prior to the assignment start dateFollow-up with facilities for nurse placement (i.e., approval or decline status)Communicate all agendas for final determination to all parties involvedResponsible for follow-up after professional conduct infractions have occurredRotating on-call weekend coverageSome extended hours and schedule flexibility as required

 

 

Sales Develop and maintain rapport with assigned accounts and act as back-up for other Clinical Service ManagersDevelop strategy as member of Sales team, building business in current client base towards further account penetration and account developmentCalls to active clients on regular basis related to needs for nurses or upcoming trends to their staffing needs Account strategy in assisting the ability to fill orders related to needs of the nurse and demands of the market place (ie bonuses, 4 versus 8 weeks, FASTAFF approvals)Participate and contribute to the Sales/Market strategy

 

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:  Must possess a two (2) year degree and be a Registered Nurse.  Two years previous experience in records review, scheduling, staffing required.  Knowledge of QA and nursing administration background is helpful.

 

 

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 

 

?  Must posses excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and familiarity of PeopleSoft systems a plus

?  Must be able to follow instructions and work with little supervision

?  Good organizational skills and time management skills are necessary

?  Requires the proven ability to maintain confidentiality and work as a ?team player?
