Coordinator Protocol Research

 1-3 years of research experience required for this position located in Oakland on the Blvd. of the Allies.

Parking is available at a reduced rate for those that prefer to drive, located on bus line. This position is Monday thru Friday with work hours being daylight, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
Reports directly to the Hemophilia Center Director and coordinates research protocol activities for the Center. Essential duties and responsibilities are as follows: Research Protocol Regulatory Responsibilities: Manage paperwork for all clinical research trials; Write, submit and revise protocols for retrospective, pharmaceuticals, other industry sponsors and multi-institutional studies to all review boards (IRB, GCRC, IBC); Assist research team with recognizing, tracking and reporting adverse events and protocol deviations to the review boards and sponsor in a timely fashion, etc. Research Data Responsibilities: Assist PI to coordinate all HCWP DSMB activities; Create and manage HCWP research database and research registry; De-identify data. Research Education and Development Responsibilities: Maintain up-to-date information regarding federal regulations and ethical considerations and IRB policies related to the use of human subjects in research; Educate and advise HCWP staff regarding current regulations and policies governing human subject research; Assist and advise other sites on IRB submissions for multi-center protocols where HCWP is the central site; Attend IRB/GCRC/IBC/University OCR educational meetings, etc. Clinical Research Responsibilities: Assist research staff with development and implementation of research tools, recruitment, screening and enrolling patients, etc.; Assist with processing lab samples as needed. RN required. Bachelors degree is preferred. 1-3 years of experience as a research nurse. Candidate must have the ability to analyze complex issues and collaborate and advise with sound judgment. Strong written and oral communication skills are required. Ability to work with research regulatory bodies at the University is also essential to this position.
