Denial Management/Appeal Coordinator

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Denial Management/Appeal Coordinator in our Revenue and Case Management Department. Hours: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. The Denial Management/Appeal Coordinator is responsible to monitor and respond to all denials for services rendered from all payer sources. This person will manage and assist the denial management process by establishing relationships with payers, working closely with the Registration Staff, Case Managers, Revenue Management and Regional Business Office by answering denials via verbal written appeals and by establishing and implementing processes to improve the denial management process. The Denial Management/Appeal Coordinator will provide education to all appropriate individuals to proactively prevent denials from occurring and respond to denials in a timely manner to increase the effectiveness of the appeal process. Denial Management/ Appeal Coordinator will manage all aspects of denial management. Required: Current CA RN or LVN License, 2-3 years of clinical experience, prior denial management (appeal letters) experience, and computer skills for tracking appeals such as Access Database, Excel, and Hospital ADT and Clinical Information System as appropriate. BA degree in Nursing preferred
