JOB SUMMARY:
- The Nurse Manager is a Department Head who has administrative authority and responsibility for the management and direction of the operational, personnel and financial activities of the Department. These functions are coordinated with Hospital Administration, Division Directors, Medical Staff, and others and are performed in accordance with Suburban Hospital's philosophy, policies, procedures and standards.
- Acts as a facilitator, mentor, and preceptor for staff .
- In collaboration with physicians and staff members, assesses plans, directs, and evaluates nursing care of patients - Manages the operating budgets for designated clinical service in collaboration with Director.
- Responsible for the daily activities and operations on assigned areas and for coordinating the patient's care across the wellness-illness continuum.
- Functions as an active member of the health care team in collaboratively planning and facilitating care with the physician and other providers of services.
- Particular attention is directed at assuring and maintaining high standards for customer service care provision, and contributing to sound financial outcomes.


RN; BSN- preferred;Previous management experience desired; strong leadership; clear verbal and written communication skills
