Director of Emergency Services

Our client, a regionally recognized healthcare provider in the San Francisco Bay Area, has immediate need for a Director ? Emergency Services. 

 

Reporting to the system Chief Nursing Executive, this critical leadership role will have 24-hour accountability for clinical and administrative our client organization?s Emergency Department.  Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with licensing, regulatory and accrediting entities, quality improvement initiatives, and people/resource management for emergency services. 

 

Required Abilities Include:

 

?  Superior management and leadership skills

?  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work with various public and cross-functional teams

?  Ability to achieve results for the organization with and through other people utilizing creative and innovative solutions

?  Excellent organizational skills

?  Thorough knowledge of nursing practice standards, as well as related legal, regulatory, ethical, managerial, and organizational requirements for emergency services

 

Experience:

 

?  3+ years of emergency department experience (significant critical care experience may substitute)

?  2-5 years of progressive management experience

 

Education:

 

?  California Registered Nurse license in good standing

?  Bachelors Degree in Nursing or a health care related field required

?  MSN, MHA, or MBA preferred

?  Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certification
