We are seeking exceptional candidates for an DIRECTOR OF NURSES position for our Telecare, La Casa program in Long Beach.

 

Responsibilities: The Director of Nursing is responsible for all activities and functions related to nursing programs, the administration of patient care systems and patient care in all nursing areas, departments and client care levels in the facility.  Basic functions include:

 

?  Develops departmental goals, objectives, standards of performance, policies and procedures.

?  Organizes the department in accordance with administrative guidelines in order to provide specified nursing services to meet the legal, organizational and medical staff guidelines.

?  Functions in an advisory capacity to the administrator in evaluating procedural changes as they relate to patient care.

?  Directs the implementation and ensures compliance with standards of nursing practice that promote optimal health care delivery and meet regulatory requirements.

 

Requirements: The Director of Nurses must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and have four (4) years of experience. Two (2) years of experience in a psychiatric nursing and two (2) years in a supervisory capacity preferred. A MSN degree is preferred as is administrative experience in long term care.  In addition, current valid licensure as an RN in the state of California is required and CPR certification is preferred.
