Director of Nursing / Boston

The Director of Nursing Director is accountability for developing and implementing programs for the Nursing Organization directed toward achievement of the mission, goals and objectives of Medical Center.  The Nursing Director collaborates with the Vice President for Nursing, senior members of management, physician chiefs, and the clinical/management nursing staff to achieve program goals and objectives.  The role requires expert broad based clinical and management knowledge and practice.  The Nursing Director is responsible and accountable for the management of specific clinical areas and may assume responsibility in the absence of the Vice President of Nursing.The candidate must be a RN and have a Master's Degree in Business Administration or other related degree required.The candidate must have 10 years of nursing experience and a Minimum of 3-5 years in nursing administration with a teaching research oriented hospital.
