Director of Residential Nursing

Riverbend's Residential Program currently has an opening for a full-time Director of Nursing. This position provides leadership, clinical practice, and supervision that ensure the safe and efficient daily operation of the medication systems operated by Riverbend Community Mental Health services in a manner that ensures an appropriate quality of life for the residents. The Director of Nursing supervises the Residential Nurse trainers and/or collaborates with staff in order to enhance professional growth, provide accountability, staff training, promote effective communication, a healthy work environment, and improve the quality of service delivered to consumers. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8-5.

 

A NH RN license is required. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, 2 years of medical/surgical nursing experience, RNC psychiatric certification, and community mental health center experience is preferred.The ability to be trained as a Nurse Trainer within the first 3 months of employment is required. One year of supervisory experience or the ability to gain skills is necessary. A criminal and motor vehicle record release will be required upon hire.
