FAMILY BIRTHING CENTER RN VIRTUAL PEDIATRICS TEAM

Schedule:
Part-time 60 hrs per pay period, night shift 7 pm-7:30 am, various days, every other weekend

Description:

FAMILY BIRTHING CENTER RN VIRTUAL PEDIATRICS TEAM provides patient and family focused care as part of the health care team in accordance with SCMC mission, philosophy, policies, and procedures while applying standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.

Maintains an in-depth knowledge of nursing principles, practices, standards, and techniques and applies this knowledge in accordance with SCMC policies and procedures and within laws and regulations governing nursing practice in the State of Oregon.

Requirements:
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Registration: Current licensure with the Oregon State Board of Nursing.

Experience: Basic-nursing skills required. One year acute care in a pediatric unit required. Prefer ICU or NICU experience.

Job Knowledge: Working knowledge of the concepts of basic nursing process and understanding of age appropriate care incorporating normal growth and maturation for each age group identified within the this job description. Basic knowledge of psychosocial concepts and problem-solving skills required. Excellent communication skills required (both oral and written).

Computer Literacy: Ability to learn and apply basic computer skills including locating and opening documents, completing forms, opening and sending messages. Willingness to learn electronic medical record charting.
