Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinates all unit activities on a day-to-day basis.
Makes provisions for unit staffing needs.
Delegates/supervises/monitors personnel providing care and services to patients and serves as a resource to staff.
Assists in orientation and staff development of personnel.
Provides input into personnel performance evaluations.
Communicates pertinent patient information and collaborates with other healthcare team members to meet the needs of patients and families.
Assists in researching trends and implementing applicable education and practice innovations.
Is knowledgeable of standards identified by regulatory, accrediting, and professional organizations.
Assists in establishing and/or revising operational guidelines and policies.
Assists in implementing and maintaining standards of care.
Supports, promotes, and participates in culture of shared leadership

Qualifications
Registered Nurse with current, active license in Iowa or Compact State of residence. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Charge nurse experience required. Management experience preferred.
Cath lab and/or Critical Care experience required.
