Manager of Nursing - Emergency Room

Provides essential leadership and administrative support to the department members; Accountable for the financial and quality performance of the Emergency Services; Ensures that the nursing, standards of care are consistent with CHRISTUS Spohn?s mission and meet regulatory requirements; Facilitates the ongoing achievement of the division?s mission and goals; promotes the development and improvement of processes directed at providing quality, economical healthcare services. Responsible for customer service and customer satisfaction. Interdisciplinary collaboration.

Kleberg's ER department is a Level IV trauma center with 10 beds. The ER handles approximately 12,500 annual visits. This position would manage about 17 FTE's. Experience with Fast Track a plus.

 

Job Requirements:

 

Bachelor's degree. Completion of accredited nursing program. Current licensure for the State of Texas (RN); CPR. Five years emergency/intensive care experience with at least two years in a management/supervisory role. Trauma Coordinator experience. Demonstrated ability to problem solve and be supportive/innovative in the process of change; strong human relations skills with an ability to handle difficult/sensitive issues with regard to patient confidentiality; excellent written/oral communication skills
