About the Opportunity
TEMPORARY POSITION Under the direction of the Vice President of Clinical Services, or Directors of Medical Review, the Medical Review Specialist processes Additional Development Requests (ADRs) and claim appeals by reviewing chart material to assure proper documentation is present & requested material is completed/submitted timely to the Fiscal Intermediary or other Medicare contractor. Also assists with database tracking of Medical Review ADRs and PPS claims with adjustments or denials. Will be responsible for interacting with facilities regarding Medicare coverage and reimbursement questions. Candidates should have good communication skills as well as current knowledge of Medicare regulations and the ability to research via computer for information about current and new Medicare guidelines. Will also need to be able to address changes in regulations as they affect coverage issues. If necessary, may need to provide training for Corporate, LTC facility and other staff on Medicare coverage.

Qualifications
Must possess a professional degree and current clinical license and experience. An RN, RPT, OTR, or SLP are preferred. LPN, COTA or PTA will be considered.
