Neighboring Seattle Community seeking a Registered Nurse/Health Services Coordinator

Do you enjoy working with children, or in a scholastic health care environment? A neighboring Seattle community is seeking a District Nurse and Health Services Coordinator.

Description:

- This position under the general direction of the Director of Student Services, will implement, manage, and deliver school health services in assigned schools and programs

Responsibilities:

- Include health counseling and guidance to students, parents and school personnel

- Initiate referral of students and involvement of parents in obtaining diagnosis and treatment needed to alleviate health problems

- Provide emergency first aid for students and stuff

- Assist District personnel with health curriculum planning and serve as a resource person in health education

- Develop and supervise in-service training programs

- Other similar, related duties as required



Qualifications and Conditions:

- Current State of Washington Registered Nurse License

- Experience as a Nurse in a school setting preferred. Supervisory experience desired

- Knowledge of laws, rules, regulations and codes governing nursing, delivery of health care in schools, special education law relating to health care, immunizations and medications.

- Demonstrated effective public presentation and teaching skills

- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working
relationships with students, staff, parents and community members.

- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written expression.

- Washington State drivers license and reliable transportation

- Current HIV/Hepatitis and CPR certification
