*Nurse Clinician III

Dept: Neurological Sciences
The section of Neurological Sciences Nurse Clinician is a practioner who actively provides supervised patient care through a diverse role as a clinician, educator, researcher and consultant. The nurse works in a collaborative relationship with the neurologist and nurse practioners to coordinate the care of neurology patients.

The nurse will manage neurology patients during clinic hours, throughout the disease course by evaluating current diagnostic information needed for a comprehensive visit as well as interpreting reports and ordering additional diagnostics as needed. In addition, they serve as a primary nurse for a case load of physicians.
Will lead Clinical Research for active clinical trials. Will contribute to the scientific base of nursing practice and the field of neurology by collaborating in nursing research.

Additional Information

Position Type: Full-Time
Education/Special Skills Required: BSN and Current IL. license required. 1-3 years experience, preferably with specialization in neurology. Prior experience in an ambulatory setting is also preferred. Must have critical thinking skills, able to function independently and have strong organizational and interpersonal skills. CPR certification required.
