Nursing - Occupational Health

Health Resources is a full service provider of occupational health services including injury prevention and health promotion programs.

 

We currently have an exciting and challenging on-site nursing opportunity at a large Boston teaching hospital. This position represents a unique opportunity to utilize your nursing experience and skills in a manner that contributes to the health and well being of hospital staff and management. This position will enable you to use your creativity and nursing expertise in promoting wellness throughout a hospital setting.

 

Essential responsibilities:

 Management and implementation of injury management and health promotion programs, emphasizing motivation to improve behaviors, education, training and pre-injury intervention

 Evaluate and improve manual material handling by hospital staff, including the movement of patients.

 Evaluate and develop trend analysis for work-related injuries

 Develop action strategies to reduce work related injuries.

 Continue to reinforce the learned techniques and proper use of equipment throughout the hospital units and appropriate departments following education and training.

 Collaborate with hospital staff and management to assist them in the prevention of workplace injuries and illness.

 

 Minimum qualifications:

?  Current Massachusetts RN license.

?  2 + years experience in occupational health nursing. 

?  Excellent oral and written communication skills

?  Ability to plan and manage multiple projects.

?  Interest/experience in Injury Prevention & Health Promotion

?  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
