Professional Home Health Services celebrating 37 years of dedicated quality care throughout the state of Louisiana via 12 locations is seeking enthusiastic, caring professional individuals for the following positions for its Baton Rouge agency:

 

Position:  2 - Field R.N.'s - Full Time/PRN  - Pay Per Visit

 

Position Summary:

 

Assumes principle responsibility for assigned care of clients. Assess, plans, implements, and evaluates the care of each client. Initiates health care training and education to the client and/or client's family as required. Supports the goals of Home Health. Demonstrates awareness of ongoing staffing needs. Provides and/or supervises skilled nursing service in accordance with physician's orders. RN will provide intermittent skilled care to the patient. RN will make necessary revisions to Plan of Care, provide those services requiring substantial specialized nursing skill, initiates appropriate and rehabilitative nursing procedures, prepare clinical and progress notes, coordinates services, informs the physician and other personnel of changes in the patient's condition and needs, counsels the patient and family in meeting nursing and related needs, participates in in-service programs yearly and supervises and teaches other nursing personnel.

 

Position Qualifications:Current RN license by the State Board of Nurse Examiners, without restrictionsOne year experience as a staff RNSuccessful completion of orientation programPossess reliable transportation, maintaining current driver's license and liability insuranceEffective communication and interpersonal skillsMust be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient servedMust be able to function competently and independently to provide highest quality of nursing care/practiceAgrees to work at only one agency per day
