Performance Improvement Nurse

The PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT NURSE is responsible for ensuring quality and safe delivery of services at a location. He/she coordinates the performance improvement activities that reflect the Tender Loving Care/Staff Builders"&tm; philosophy and standards of home health care. This individual maintains a chart review/audit system to monitor compliance with Federal, State and Corporate guidelines and to ensure documentation supports reimbursement.

Required Skills:
1. A Registered Nurse with one year or more years of clinical experience in a home health agency.

2. Must meet educational/experience requirements outlined in the laws of licensure states.

3. Knowledge of Medicare Conditions of Participation, Medicaid regulations and reimbursement principles is required.

4. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, telephone, documentation, and communication skills.

5. Must possess strong patient assessment, patient management and documentation skills.

6. Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the patient.

7. Must possess the disposition and personality to work harmoniously with a wide variety of people and all levels of staff, and interact professionally as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.

8. Ability to work flexible hours as required to meet identified patient needs.

9. Absolute integrity and the use of good judgment to handle the professional and confidential nature of assignments.

10. Ability to adapt to changing organizational needs.

11. Speaks, writes, reads, and comprehends English.
