As a Psychiatric APRN, you will:

? Assess clients enrolled for treatment in the Mental Health program for the purposes of diagnostic clarification and/or medication evaluation

?   Monitor client response to medication in coordination with the client?s primary therapist

? Collaborate with a dynamic team of individuals within the Mental Health department

? Consult with CHC Medical providers concerning psychotropic medication of their clients

? Coordinate with community providers involved in the care of Mental Health clients

? Order, receive and review lab reports and relevant lab tests/procedures in order to diagnose or manage patient?s condition

? Provide feedback to clients and/or consultation to primary therapist as needed

? Coordinate with other medical specialties in the detection and treatment of psychiatric patients? non-psychiatric medical or surgical conditions

? Comply with collaborative agreement requirements with psychiatrists as required by state law

 

Qualifications:

? MSN Degree from an accredited college or university

? Current State of CT RN license and APRN license

? Minimum three years experience assessing clients psychiatrically and prescribing medications in outpatient community settings

? Minimum three years experience as member of outpatient mental health multidisciplinary team

? Must be familiar with must meet all regulatory Mental Health documentation requirements

? State-of-the-art research and current clinical knowledge to the actual practice of psychiatry

? Proficient in the use of psychopharmacology

? Team player

? Ability to work with various cultural and diverse individuals

? Bilingual preferred
