Quality Management Specialist

Responsible for activities related to quality assurance and performance improvement activities of Department of Surgery. Includes accurately abstracting clinical data from patient charts, medical records, and numerous databases, and obtaining information from NYPH for projects related to Department?s QA and PI efforts. Principal duties and responsibilities include quality management?working on quality assurance and improvement activities for Department?s divisions and programs. Collect necessary project data from all pertinent sources. Evaluate data and integrate relevant information into review processes.

 

Current New York State professional registered nurse. Health care experience required. Knowledge of desktop computer applications and clinical database concepts essential. Excellent writing and verbal skills required.

Requires bachelor?s degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus four years of related experience. Surgical nursing experience preferred. QA experience preferred.
