REDMOND - PBS NURSING COORDINATOR

Part-time 48 hrs per pay period, day shift 8 am-5 pm, M/Tu/F. TEMPORARY

Description:

REDMOND - PBS NURSING COORDINATOR provides for all coordination and scheduling of Cascade Medical Clinic Nursing department activities, as well as the Physician Business Services (PBS) relief nursing pool. Assists PBS physicians with nursing policies and procedures for each clinic.
Maintains reliable and consistent attendance. Maintains an in-depth knowledge of principles, practices, standards and techniques and demonstrates knowledge in accordance with CHC policies and procedures within pertinent laws and regulations in the following areas:
1. Coordinates all clinical staffing and operations for Cascade Medical Clinic, in conjunction w/organizational policies and procedures.
2. Participates in the clinical staffing and operational issues of the PBS clinics, as needed.
3. Oversees and participates in issues affecting equipment and/or supplies in the PBS clinics.
4. Participates in and promotes CHC policies regarding employee health under the direction of the CHC employee Health Nurses, Human Resources department and/or Safety Committee.
5. Oversees CMC laboratory staffing and operations.
6. Assists physicians with patient care within the medical clinic setting.
7. Interfaces with Facility Services Department regarding CMB building issues.
8. Maintains adequate back office nursing levels in each PBS clinic.
9. As necessary performs duties in the health maintenance of patients (e.g. triage, emergency relief, etc.).
10. Trains and supervises all CMC and relief pool nursing staff.
11. Assists with clinical staff interviewing, hiring and performance assessment as requested in all PBS clinics.
12. Performs additional duties as requested (e.g. occupational medicine, flu clinics, etc.)

Requirements:
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Registration: Current licensure with the Oregon State Board of Nursing. CPR certification, knowledge of Nursing Standards of Practice Act.

Experience: Five or more years of medical clinic nursing management experience.

Job Knowledge: Knowledge of Flex Sig, autoclave, EKG machine,audiometric unit, one touch unit, oxygen, liquid nitrogen, radio surg.unit, Elec Bovie unit, ossimeter,spirometer,tympanometer, EGD,telephone, fax machine, copier preferred.

Computer Literacy: Ability to learn and apply basic computer skills including locating and opening documents, completing forms, opening and sending messages.
