Good Sam's high risk L&D is served by a level 3 nursery. Known internationally for the success of our multiple birth program, Good Sam delivers the most quadruplets in North America.

This position serves as base unit staff for the Labor and Delivery Dept. Incumbents will use specialized knowledge, judgment and nursing skills based upon the principles of biological,physical and social sciences to facilitate patient's achievement of optimum health status. Provides leadership and coordination to the healthcare team and will maintain standards of professional skills.

Responsibilities :

Direct L&D patient care. Also interfaces with Good Sam's Trauma Service; staff respond to the trauma room for pregnant trauma patients.

Qualifications :

Requires current AZ or compact state RN license. Comprehensive L&D orientation classes offered quarterly. Preference will be given to candidates with current L&D experience. Must possess highly developed interpersonal skills and demonstrate behaviors consistent with those indentified as Banner Health service standards.
